Marko has been volunteering with Child Evangelism Fellowship for kids summer day camps VBS-style.

Friends just moved, helped them in their final days here and Marko promised he would finish out their house in clearing it, will ship some to the Philippines or donate it to the right places. Laptops from the Extreme Home Make Over: Carr edition. Bekah update. Marko's packing gift: Tetris Style. Marko cleaning up the Carr's place after they left and putting out the trash and an accidental post on Instagram of neatly placed trash. 

Mel and Deb back from their trip in time to do City's Edge Kids Camp, Mango song. Lead into Marko telling a story about AKA 47 guys in Surinam and the Lord directing singing the Mango song. It was tense and then became disarming. 

Back in time for Awana Graduation: Marko presented in a jet-lag and didn't have his normal energy. Saturday we served all 7 that were scheduled showed up. Great way to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the over turn of Roe.

Marko starting the meeting, sharing about the Child Evangelism Prep and building relationship with Taden and learning ukulele and can roll with Marko's humor. A team from Hawaii working with the kids in the Philippines, (send good American latex balloons in LBC boxes), Marko showing the Philippines dancing at a song-time during outreach, Marko working on songs for Awana and it can grow into what his heart is for the kids in the Philippines being able to sing in Visayan. Need to make a different door related to the the Daycare Center. Radar the dog of the Tyrrell's recognizes Marko's voice. Little pet talk. Starwars scared a dog, Darth Vaders voice made him hide. Patti had someone she was concerned might be trafficked. One year anniversary of overturn of Roe, Marko volunteered caught on video, LOL. Difference between trafficking here and sexual abuse in the Philippines and the legal system and bribery in under-developed nations in poverty. Using A21 wordless books about trafficking in the Philippines that we gave Annamae (social worker to get the local contact numbers, we have it at Subangan and have shared with other social workers). A movie "Sound of Freedom" coming out on July 4th on trafficking by the people that produced the Chosen.

Crazy humid heat in Texas right now, and hail storms, large hail is prickly crystals, dealing with crazy weather. Henderson miracles, Kristi's beautiful sharing of the gospel. CEF from the 30's, Marko's mentoring of another boy, Living Water remembers the VBS we were involved in, "the Wall of Fun." Mel just had bunionectomy. Debbie ad libs a spiritual application of bunion stuff, LOL. A member of LW has is on bedrest from a partial abruption. Shoes have arrived in the Philippines, Marko shares photos from Nedy. The painting of heart flowers and butterflies on the Daycare Wall Marko shares, running 58-90 kids a day in feeding. The new school year in the Philippines is similar to the US, pandemic pushed them that way, which the schedule change was already in the plans pre-pandemic. Legos have arrived in the Philippines (Marko's Craigs list find breaking even), Marko shared photos of them building and what they have built. Jan and March's LBC boxes arrived together. Marko gave them instructions twice that night when the March boxes arrived first, than later same day the Jan boxes arrived. Prayer for CEF, Marko writing songs for Awana, and Patti and her patients and raising up volunteers to replace her.

12. Fungal nail treatment

13. Waterproof bandaids and fabric bandaids

14. number 2 pencils (theirs break often)

15. Crayola crayons (there's are super waxy)

Update with Us and Becky, email from Becky about funds being released. Becky's involvement in Embrace Grace, shower this weekend. 15yo scanned a year and a half ago came back this week pregnant again at 17 the difference in her now...such a good mom and grown up so much in maturity, in a better supportive situation with her grandmother. Great Grove Women's Zoom bible study in the gospel of John focusing on the "I Ams" that Jesus reveals Himself as. Talking about adoption. Prayer for Becky's dad, some TIAs.

We have adjusted to the time zone, enjoying the long days of summer that have started. Becky's LBC box has arrived in the Philippines yesterday. The Grove shoe drive shoes will be distributed there soon and pictures to follow. They will also be grateful for the medicine that was included. Patti has joined the online Bible study with Grove women, have enjoyed Christee, Tricia, and Connie and going through John. Bible Study Fellowship both Becky and the Tyrrells are active in and will be studying John soon.  Marko took a call from Raymund and the guys right now in the Philippines. Their report now that it has been going for 3+ weeks now is that they are serving more kids and moms than before in a more concentrated location, but they were ready for that.  It is more central in the village of Pandan.

Update on the progress of the playground. Mel is recovering from his foot surgery with a good report from he doctor. Crazy weather in the NW. Fully recovered from the flower reaction. Annamae is in Palawan at a Medical Social Work conference. IMJ, and human trafficking in the Philippines, posted an article on FB on a Philippine legislative committee concerning the black market for organ transplants from poor children to wealthy nations. Marko is up in the mountain to get bamboo with Allen, pastor Ben's son, preparing for a volunteer work day for the village tomorrow. Don't know what volume will turn out. Trying to prepare for that. And a new diabetic patient going to help get further evaluation. Marko has been busy making things happen, and pacing himself taking brakes. Becky will follow up with the Grove. Marko is repurposing wood from broken boats for shelves and benches. Hope has come.

Meet Grace Magto our pillar here in the Philippines, teacher now with a new job teaching  at a public school in a far away place.  Marko taught there, and then assessed the situation and brought a team for repairing the playground.  Baby Mariam is discharged and doing well. Patti got to help send someone in labor to the hospital.

Adjusting to the time-zone difference on the Philippine trip.  Pray for Becky's niece that just miscarried. Weird weather in the NW and Texas, a rainy dry season here in the Philippines.  Pictures on Facebook is telling the story of the damage.  Meeting with Baranggay Kaptan.  Offered to use the Day Care Center (kindergarten) area in Pandan for Subangan ministry. It has a stage and a slide already.  She will make it official early April. Marko is writing songs for Awana and now teaching them to the filipino kids  and sending them to Awana in Texas  for them to learn the verses. Marko preached last Sunday and will this Sunday. Patti is headed to CDO to visit students and get bibles. Bible distribution this last Sunday.  Invited to teach Internet cafe owners about protecting children's eyes from harm. An evangelism tool. Baby dedication coming later today, 13 have asked us to be god parents. Delia's house completely gone, they moved next to the Day Care Center. Finishing up on Jojo's house, discussing where the rain and heat comes from for the best design. It is a lot to process the destruction and the need for current housing but also the future bulldozing and relocation of the village. Being mindful and wise. The Word of God leads us back to where our heart need to focus like a guitar tuner (Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.). Bright kid next door. Pray for baby Marium

Texas ice storm thawing. Very cold in the NW without precipitation. Patti's brother Dan is joining us. during his work out. Debbie and Mel talk about SCUBA diving in the Philippines. Bought tickets for the Philippines to go for 2 months to help with storm recovery and encouraging our village. Awana will feature missions month and will highlight us in our trip coming. Marko harvesting  bamboo for Awana bamboo piggy banks. Marko bade a shoe car to represent a shoe drive for the Philippines. Song-time in the Philippines connected to Awana song-time. Patti was able to get her nursing CEUS for license renewal. Mel and Deb visited when we had good weather, so much that they even kayaked on Caddo Lake in January, they even got bit by mosquitos. Plan for the Philippines at this point. Our history with workers in the Philippines and what we have learned works.
