Patti is upright and feeling better. Had an inner and outer ear infection and wiped out, but good now. Been preparing for our gusts coming. Bible study ladies have become family and excited and anticipating the arrival of our guests from Eastriver. It correlated with Luke 12 teaching with joyful anticipation of the Lord's return, preparing with joy. They jumped in and helped. Meet Inday Rosilie, a servant of the Lord. Lost her 28yo son in a chemical explosion this week. The foreigner Bible study family stepped up and have helped her financially to be able to go to him and be with family. Sweet baby cousins sharing and playing. Will update next week what the visitors got to do and be involved with. Headed to pick them up today!!!

Overseas workers from the Philippines sometimes they end up in modern day slavery. Marko was building more beds for Johcery's home when she received some tragic news of her brother in Qatar committed suicide.

Tapioca break while working on the beds. Also working on the salvaged wood for Maki's house. Maki is blessed with the new phone...the process of that. There are a lot of cheaply made electronics and cars that are imported to here with import taxes doubles the price.

Adventure trek with Emmanuel, free range goats, 4pm, 5pm "do we keep going?" No short cut trails to get out, called Patty to pick up on the highway after dark. The deep conversations that come out during those akinds of adventures go deeper. Sam B attested to that. Foreigner Bible Study on Saturdays.

Tonette's birthday coming this weekend. Wanted to see Naneth, so we sent for her and her kids to come from Butuan for a visit for several days. So we have multiple babies in the house. Pressure on adult kids to give money to parents as part of the culture...the retirement plan. Naneth sold her hair to give money to her mom yesterday, Tonette broke her Hadassah piggy-bank to cave to their mom's pressure to give money last week.

Marko captured Patti praying during a change of shift on the nurse chatline. Hadassah at 5 months old has learned to blow bubbles with her mouth. Church update, Pastora Edith's sewing ministry, they are headed right now to a big city today (Butuan) to buy communion trays and cups to replace the ones that burned in the fire, and to buy Pastora a sewing machine!

Update on Marko recovered officially from that that bad illness he got from the sludge. His color is back and he is not having episodes feeling weird. Went on a jungle adventure in the mountains with Emanuel, drank from a waterfall.

Preaching and teaching, still in the sermon on the mount in Matthew, on Sunday on judging others as a meter or a flag at recognizing of not focused on being filled up on the presence and grace and love of God. The Lord showed up and hearts were touched and people responded. Then a church-mate, that is a gifted artist with wood burning, shared a beautiful handicraft. Placed an order, and maybe we will be able to help him promote his business.

Visited Pastor Ben and family at their temporary home location and glaringly noticed they could use a better sitting space for hospitality, visiting others, and ministering in their own home. We took them shopping for a couch and coffee table. Thank you to those that helped make that happen. Next thing to replace for them is a sewing machine for Pastora Edith as it is one of her gifts in ministry behind the scenes making things with fabric.

Ladies Bible Study was so encouraging as we eagerly await and prepare for our heavenly bride-Groom's return Luke12:32-48.

Daily fun, play, exercise, spiritual food, then nutritional food for their bodies.

That is not Maki's house. It is a new build in a rich neighborhood and they are done with the wood scaffolding. Marko approached the owner to see if he would trade for the used wood. Here is where they are going to work on the pile of wood, pulling nails and such.

Brown out during a thunder and lightning storm the girls joined us in our room to be together (reminded me of the Sound of Music), and when the power returned we were having so much fun that we turned the light out and continued to enjoy each other.

Marko is recovering, not 100% yet, but his stamina is slowly returning. He shares about salvaging the burnt wood for building Maki a house for his family of 5. How Pastor and family are doing post fire. We welcomed Sister Jill back to Bible study after her recovery from surgery. We practiced thankfulness and gratefulness to go in the opposite spirit of jealousy, focusing on what is eternal not on the temporary. Marketing and the feeding and a couple of workers videos, JCA's Intramural sports for one week (parenting in the Philippines), Subangan Sundays at the Seaside, and please pray for Hadassah as she is sick (4-5 mo old now).

Marko and the guys building in the sludge, Marko is now recovering from illness, Subangan Cares activity and feeding program, ladies Bible Study, Marko's sermon on Sunday and the improv drama skit was funny and had a good point, improptu prayer and blessing, Marko discipling Emmanuel (Emmon), Subangan Sundays at the seaside update (swing and volleyball structure up,) feeding and fun, finishing up with a Hadassah baby photo.

Fire recovery update, salvage and clean up, the church body stepping up, guard duty, meeting some fire victims immediate needs, bringing electricity back in, Ladies Bible Study and avoiding mites and broken seats, meet Irish and Sita, Bao Bao work, Brownie and new puppies, kids playing with a can playing a game to play a game. Adventure weekend with the girls. Then (4yo) and now (11 years later). High Ropes course challenge was insightful revealing fear and the difference between trust and no trust. Lots of firsts for Joenessa.

Theresa, in the middle, is 4th year college student that is an orphan (daughter of Jecil that was in our Bible study the dropped dead at 33yo from goiter/thyroid storm.) Theresa was living with Nedy, pastor's daughter, as a companion and adopted daughter to Nedy since Nedy's husband abandoned her.

Fire report of Pastor Ben's residence and the Sunday school rooms, Joenessa's birthday, ukulele classes, ladies Bible study shining their lights, feeding and Subangan Sundays at the Seaside, Joenessa practicing for school drama presentation. Many stepping up and offering Pastor and family to stay at their place even if their house is a shanty. High heat of 43C/109F school cancelled. Canada is cold, NW is perfect sunny and clear in spite of the fires. Schools here don't have AC, are over full (60-80 students), sometimes divided by a chalkboard. Marko was randomly held at gun-point yesterday by a drunk guy. Tyrrells are on their was back to AZ and are currently in UT.

Started half days on Sunday for the kids having Subangan at the seaside like where it originated, and feeding them so they are not stealing food. They went to harvest bamboo to make a rope "swing for Subangan Sundays, loading it on the Bao-Bao, Marko explained the tipping hazard, singing "Slow every where I go," perfecting the rope swing, soccer is a hit, bubble break, getting eggs at the mall by the Lord's direction (shared a sermon in a long waiting line), including the kids in preperation and teaching them,

Jeremiah school Marko leads a Bible study for faculty and another one for students, they now have a ministry team of students, walking and natural spontaneous worship happened. Ladies Bible study they all shared testimonies voluntarily because they wanted to.One was so excited to say she got to share the gospel with someone and they were open and received it and they passed away a few days ago. She was over the top knowing that this person went home to be with the Lord! The was over joyed and kept saying "No regrets, no regrets!"

Life is fragile and precious and we don't know if we have tomorrow, feeding program is now 7 days a week with Sundays at the seaside, kids are loving it being at the water and missing that location from where it was for over a decade, goofy volleyball helmet, introduced soccer that was a hit, running relay game, curling game with a tribute to Sam (Marko's mom), "Subangan" what it means and program name Subangan Cares and now 2 locations (seaside and the pre-school), speaking at nutrition day at the pre-school and talking about what foods are better than others nutritionally, Beth Banham popped on and mentioned City's Edge will help get more protein powder for the food we serve at the Subangan Cares daily feeding, Christmas season starting soon in the "-bers" (SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER, DecemBER) we just heard about a Christmas miracle of 1000pesos being in the Christmas blessing sack we gave out last year (which we didn't add), Marko invited as a judge for Nutrition Day at Jeremiah Christian Academy, Johcery house update, and babysitting Hadassah.

Sari-Sari extravaganza (31 in the village and the culture behind them), CR/septic tank needed to be moved (demolished and and re-constructed) in Johcery's home rebuild, surprise drop in accreditation assessment (Marko punted and sent the kids in the program to the old Subangan location for no notice adjustment, and then showed the inspector from Manila around), the kids enjoyed being back at the seaside, random stuff here in the philippines, preaching and travel and parades here.

Tonette is adjusting well. Mountain outreach over flowing the small church building. Repairing the roof on the government day care building where we hold Subanagan Cares youth program. 3 scripture songs in the local language written for kids and the kids are playing ukulele and singing as part of the program. Also merit system is increasing a raising up student leaders. They are learning to repair things, maintain, and even some earn the right to assist in going to market for getting the food for the feeding every day. Marko stopping and helping neighbors set up their basketball court (usting the BaoBao as a ladder. Met with the new Barangay Captain and Council, making the previous oral agreement a written one.Captain wants to form a committee for having similar children's outreach programs in every Purok of Barangay 25 with Subangan Cares being the proto-type.

Patty Tyrrell's transformation of no fear with snakes! Saw her first Diamond Back Rattler in AZ, and was fine and didn't react in panic. Marko's trick of dealing with snakes by using a rake. Marko has new glasses. Our household is growing! Tonette (older sister of Jonessa) has joined us and her baby that she is carrying. She is 19yo and a single mom. Tonette helped Patti install a vinyl curtain in the little vehicle we drive. Marko made Jonessa and Tonette their own bed. Jonessa drew a photo of the house and us. Meet Mericel one of our students we are helping.

Subangan Cares program: merit bands, student leadership perks and learning (discipleship and life-skills), bubble break, net extensions, new generation of fishermen growing up playing with homemake bamboo fishing poles. Alexa facing her social fears and walking in her new obedience in Christ, being blessed with fun and friends and a little kid following at Subangan Cares. Our foreigner weekly Bible study joined us at church this last Sunday. Judith, one of our widows, and her new micro business.

Birthday Edition! One planned celebration but 4 times celebrated (surprised at church, surprised at checkout, surprised at Bible study.) Filipino culture and birthdays. Amazing time at church this Sunday about overcoming fear. Response for prayer was a so good and a Gd blessing. Subangan Cares wall project of painting with the kids (protected area for supervised play). The staff guys growing and being challenged. Marko will be going on a vision retreat with the guys this weekend.

Patti took a little spill on the scooter after the typhoon in washed up slippery mud after spending time with Jonessa. Rainy season, Fence update, fish extraviganza 116 fish (fish fry and keroke), "new stolen," the rebuilt houses after the fire 10 years later.
